1st Carpentry installed a new kitchen (supplied by Howdens) including tiling and electrics, built two alcove cupboards and converted our under-stairs storage. Dean's skill, experience, and work ethic is second to none. He went out of his way to make sure every aspect of his work was as good as possible. He even fixed issues he noticed while he worked at no extra cost. The custom-made cupboards fit perfectly into two alcoves with different dimensions, and Dean ensured we were happy with every aspect of the design. He coordinated several other contractors to ensure the install went as smoothly as possible, and was very careful to keep dust and noise to a minimum. We won’t use anyone else. Whilst looking for someone to install our new kitchen we were recommended Dean at 1st Carpentry by another contractor we use regularly. Dean provided a quote – initially for kitchen install but expanded to lounge/entry/understairs refresh. We felt instantly at ease with Dean. We were impressed by his eye for detail and suggestions for bringing our vision to life. Dean managed the whole project including arranging the floor installer, electrician and plasterer. Dean was polite, punctual, tidy and was always available to answer questions (and believe me we had A LOT). Despite unexpected ‘problems’ in our home - from potential asbestos tiles, to a leaking waste pipe, to exposed live wiring, to delivery of our Wren kitchen with wonky units and badly damaged doors – nothing phased Dean and he was quick to offer solutions. Throughout his knowledge and expertise really showed. Not content on just re-plastering/repainting, Dean fixed problems caused by other contractors in the house and also replaced all of our architraves and boxed in our exposed pipework to give a truly fresh look; things that we had never considered. The standard of work is exceptional and we will certainly be back again. Thanks 1st Carpentry.

This was our 3rd job (new kitchen) with this team and we only have good things to say about them. Very friendly, polite, professional, tidy and with an amazing eye for details. Great communication with constant updates about the job. We will continue to work with them and definitely recommend this team to everyone!
