Chestnut Nursery

Every year we grow over 50,000 healthy plants across a range of more than 500 different varieties and species; everything form edible crops, annual bedding, hardy shrubs, wildlife friendly perennials and even unusual exotics particularly suited to local conditions. A vital part of Chestnut’s work is to increase public understanding of mental illness, and to counter the widespread stigma and discrimination still suffered by many people with mental health issues. Visited Chestnut having found out that they stocked a plant that we had been after for a while. We weren’t disappointed, the staff were incredibly helpful and the nursery is really well organised. A real pleasure to walk round and a very good selection of plants.

A little gem and well worth a visit. Whilst not the biggest of places, there was ample parking, clear signage, a friendly welcome from all the staff and some plants which you would struggle to find elsewhere. There were a number of exotic/tropical plants on show when we visited and all were very reasonably priced, we will definitely be returning soon.

I am a lover of different types of plants and have an affinity towards succulents and hard-to-get plants in the UK and this Nursery caters to all of that. They have nice pots and even nicer plants with a large selection to choose from; succulents, terrariums and garden plants. I was honestly surprised how well organised it was and how lovely the staff are. Will definitely be back when I'm on the hunt for more plants.
