Minster Property Management provides a personal and professional service for both residential and commercial developments throughout Dorset and Hampshire including Bournemouth and Poole.

Peter G May, our principal, is a Chartered Surveyor based in Wimborne, Dorset since 1988. The management practice currently handles the management for blocks – mainly in and around Hampshire and Dorset.

The management and administration of purpose built blocks of flats, converted houses and privately run residential estates is a unique form of property management requiring specialised skills and an in-depth knowledge of legislation. We have a proven track record.

Our services include:

Clients' monies are held in individual trust accounts to provide greater transparency for our clients.  All our Clients Accounts are subject to the RICS Client Account Regulations.  Minster Property Management is regulated by the RICS and pay a levy which is used by the RICS to monitor and inspect firms holding Clients Funds.  Additional benefits include The RICS’ Clients’ Money Protection Scheme which provides members of the public to be reimbursed for any direct loss of funds which could come from misuse of client funds.  Member of the public includes any person, firm, trust, body corporate or other organisation.   Our Professional Indemnity Insurance covers directors and officers of a management company where the practice has a full management control.

A large project currently being undertaken at our Block, managed by Minster, again reinforces their user-friendly 'hands-on' approach to Property Management. Over my 6 years direct involvement with them I have always found a business-like approach and been treated with respect. It is a two-way street; mutual respect and constructive discussion has always resolved any small niggle that may have occurred. When dealing with contractors deployed by Minster I have yet to experience a contractor who does other than voluntarily praise Minster's 'hands-on; practical; and personal' approach.

Minster Property Management have been our Agents for 7 years. They took over after we had been let down VERY badly by our previous Agents. We have needed their assistance with several complicated matters over the years and they have looked after our interests extremely well. The office staff are generally very efficient (although the odd message does go astray). Our AGM is always run efficiently as are our finances. Any queries we have are always answered in a timely way and generally, we feel well supported. It does help that the two Resident Directors are closely involved and interested in the running of our small development and that we work closely with MPM when required to do so. Life is certainly a lot less stressful than it was under our previous Agents! Thank you Minster!

Minster Property Management have been excellent for us. Our block has been with two other Managers, since I have been resident, and they were either too corporate or completely incompetant. They are a joy to work with and streets ahead of the competition. Rather than having your own dedicated Property Manager, Minster take the view that it is better gor the whole team to take an interest and be involved. I know that each of the personnel have their own specialty ie legal, insurance, surveying, contracting and budgeting. Its like having 5 different managers on call and I wouldnt wish our development to be with anyone else. They are a friendly and helpful outfit, highly professional and efficient.

Minster have been managing my block for years and they are responsive, maintain the building to a high standard, do it professionally, are cost effective, and keep expenses within an agreed budget. I would recommend them for caring for other properties.

We asked Minster to become our managing agent 7 years ago after a pretty traumatic time with another agent. What a 'breath of fresh air' - emails answered quickly, issues dealt with in a timely manner and more importantly there's always someone at the end of the phone that can help - would have no hestitation in reccomending.
