Was impressed until today. Two failed deliveries this week and then no attempt to resolve. Simply offered a refund. I was absolutely fine with the first delivery being missed, but the second was unhelpful and there was no resolution offered. Selco, and specifically the Southampton branch (although I am sure all equally helpful) have been fantastic to deal with. In every instance, they have exceeded my expectations and delivered first class service.

They used to be good. But after 2 issues though no fault of my own. It's time to have my say and close the account. I find the issue of shopping in Portsmouth Store and delivering coming from Southampton store causes issues. Just for a few hundred yards of post code boundary. That's your protocol that needs looking at. I just need reliability. Also I find the store well staffed but not overly bothered. ITS JUST A JOB type people. When I went into Portsmouth store with my wife to sort a large order for block paving. All you could hear was F this F That coming from the back office! Even the girl serving apologised...

Ok store and staff, as long as you don't want a trade delivery, which they are no where near reliable enough for, which is funny for one claiming to be a "builders warehouse". Two of my "larger" trade orders have been delayed due to Selco which really wastes cost on my side, making their cheap prices pointless, hence the in store recommendation only.

Great store. Watch the prices though. Screwfix is just around the corner and the smaller stuff is much cheaper. The younger guy with the dark messy hair is catagorically useless, watch what he puts on the receipt and check it twice espcecially before you order a delivery load. i learnt the hard way.
