This is a real hidden gem on the Isle of Wight! The garden is divided into sections each based on a different continent. All the plants are labelled which makes it easier identifying them. The gardens are well maintained and have plenty of places to relax and enjoy. There's a lovely little cafe at the entrance

An absolutely beautiful place to visit. A solid half day's trip, with fantastic flora, playground for the kids, even some lizard spotting. Loved it

Sorry ~ it's a very neglected location. No one working in gardens or buildings~ they're really in need of care and improvement. Café is the only positive element ~ really pleasant staff. Entrance fee really not worth cost ~ no reduction for Seniors etc. It'd take a really concentrated effort to get the place cleared up~there's such a potential in restoration. We can't understand why the Gardens have been allowed to become so neglected?

Ventnor Botanical Gardens encourages visitors to use cars. It should provide discounts for visitors who arrive on foot, by bicycle or public transport. It should encourage Isle of White to provide free transport from Ventnor for those who cannot walk so far.
